Kate is a practicing bedside ICU nurse and classically trained actor and vocalist based in the Pacific Northwest. She loves science fiction, fantasy and any genre that creates a sense of escapism while also shining light on the human condition. Her compassion, professional knowledge and dedication to storytelling make her an ideal candidate for your next project.

Kate lives in Vancouver, Washington with her husband, toddler, dog and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crochet and is an amateur birder. She would like to tell you she also enjoys skiing, but once when she was seven she skied too fast down her friend's driveway during a snowstorm and hasn't yet summoned the courage to try again.

July, August and the beginning of September have been PACKED! I'm delighted to now be represented in voiceover, commercial, theatrical and print by Tara Manning at TMM Talent. August 13 brought the launch of my very first audiobook, KINGDOM OF FEATHER AND SKY by Sophia Wachtel, and I've enthusiastically accepted Sophia's offer to begin work on book two of the Project Phoenix series, DAUGHTER OF DARKNESS. I was also selected to join the narrator team at AudioMazes, and completed work on my first project THE BLOOD ROSE, which launches in October. You'll also be able to hear me in an episode of the upcoming premiere season of REDACTED from Hush Studios and Rusty Quill.

My very first VO gig I ever booked, Tales from the Janitor: Ohio also premiered this month. This project led to so many amazing people and opportunities and I'm just so very thankful I got to be part of it.
​
I've really enjoyed the VO Workout sessions I've been taking from Marc Cashman, as well as the Video Game Voice Acting and British Dialect workshops I took at The Sound Stage with Denise Hoey.
​I also loved dipping my toes into ADR with an Intro to ADR workshop with Very Berry Studios.
​
Last, but certainly not least, I had just the absolute best time at Rose City Comic Con! I got to co-moderate a panel with my friend Lee of The Porkchop Express, met some of my favorite authors at The Bookish Brunch presented by Grand Gesture Books, and we connected with some really creative and talented folks while handing out merch for Tales of the Ever After.

Hooray for summer! I had so much fun providing the pre-show announcement and preview trailer voiceover for this year's Dances With Films Independent Film Festival in Hollywood, CA. Watch the trailer below, and please be sure to also visit their website to check out some of this year's incredible films. I loved being back in the studio with Marc Rose to complete my character demo and will also have a role in the audio drama he is producing with Enserne Media this fall, FREQUENCY 43. I was also delighted to join the cast of TALES OF THE EVER AFTER, produced by my friend and fellow voice actor Tyler Boruff.

May has been another busy month! I'm currently working on my first audiobook, KINGDOM OF FEATHER AND SKY by Sophia Wachtel. I have a supporting role in Season 3 Episode 3 of YOUR HORROR SHOW which went live this week, and there are currently three episodes available of BEYOND AWAKENING Season 2 which I had the great pleasure of being a part of. I also completed work on NIGHTMARE SHIFT, a horror video game which releases July 15. I'm currently working on my character demo, which I'm looking forward to recording in June.

2025 is off to a solid start. Out of the 68 auditions I've done since the beginning of the year, I've been shortlisted for 11 and booked 5!

I took a fantastic commercial VO masterclass with Danny Palmer at The Sound Stage, and have also been enjoying the Weekly VO Workouts that Jessica Geffen Yeager offers there as well. My VO coach Erin Lehn and I have also been hard at work at The Studio NW prepping for my first commercial demo reel.
​
I'm hoping to pack March with more classes and workshops and get some audiobook narration in my portfolio. I have a set of three short stories I'm prepping to record and edit three short stories I'm really excited about.
