About Kate
With a confident and engaging mid-range millennial voice, Kate specializes in grounded and authentic performances. Delivering quality work under pressure comes naturally; she holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Otterbein Univesity's highly competitive acting performance program and is a practicing ICU nurse. She loves science fiction, fantasy and any genre that creates a sense of escapism while also shining light on the human condition.

Kate lives in Vancouver, Washington with her husband, toddler, dog and two cats. In her free time, you will probably find her reading, crocheting or playing D & D. She would like to tell you she also enjoys skiing, but once when she was seven she skied too fast down her friend's driveway during a snowstorm and hasn't yet summoned the courage to try again.

Sometimes we make plans to regularly update our website blogs and then all of a sudden it's six months later!

2026 has been an absolute whirlwind and I'm grateful for it! Earlier this year, I was accepted onto two rosters - Iridescent Acorn Productions and Viviana Izzo's Enchanted Narrators. In February, I completed my second collaboration with AudioMazes, JUST ONE KISS. I'm also now part of the cast of CURSES!, a TTRPG Actual Play/Audio Drama hybrid podcast.
​
I'm honored to be part of three projects that were recently recognized by Colorado Webfest! Beyond The Blue (written by Allison Cossitt and engineered by Daniel Kelley) and Hush Studios REDACTED are both nominees for Best Audio Fiction, and TALES OF THE EVER AFTER will be receiving an Honorable Mention for Best Actual Play Audio at the festival awards on June 13.
​
At the end of April, I co-wrote and acted in my first short film, THE LIES I CAN HOLD, for the Portland 48 Hour Horror Sci-Fi Film Project. It premiered May 3rd at the Hollywood Theatre, and after a few more finishing touches, it will be available on YouTube.
​
This week, my latest video game credit WHIRLIGHT released on Steam! Check out the clip below for some gameplay, featuring my character Hilary.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! It's been a busy couple of months!
​
Episode 7 of REDACTED is live! I love that I get to be part of this project and community and it was SO cool to see it in the Top 20 Fiction Podcasts on Apple Podcasts! I also play Tarrah Myers in FREQUENCY 43 from Re-Imagined Radio, which is available now to listen to wherever you get podcasts and YouTube.

I've completed work on two video game projects, THE JESTER AND THE MADMAN which is available now and ImaginaryLab's WHIRLIGHT, which is in development with a planned release in 2026.
​
​I had the great pleasure of once again participating in HUMAN VOICES ONLY on Instagram! Thanks to Sophia Wachtel for asking me to read a snippet of DAUGHTER OF DARKNESS (currently in production) and to fellow Otterbein University alumni Timothy K. Clark for inviting me to read a portion of his epic fantasy RISE OF THE DRAGONWITCH.
​
I took my first ever on-camera acting class with Ted Rooney! The only thing I loved more than the acting part was getting to know my classmates. There was a time in my life when I didn't think I would ever take an acting class again. I was really grateful to be part of this group.
​
We recorded an epic mid-season finale on TALES OF THE EVER AFTER as well as a fun and festive holiday one-shot DM'd by the one and only Lin Shepard. Both are available now! We will be back from our holiday hiatus on Tuesday 1/6.
​
​I'm very happy to now be a part of the SkillsHub community, as well as a member of NAVA (National Association of Voice Actors). I'm looking forward to lots of growth and learning in 2026.
​

July, August and the beginning of September have been PACKED! I'm delighted to now be represented in voiceover, commercial, theatrical and print by Tara Manning at TMM Talent. August 13 brought the launch of my very first audiobook, KINGDOM OF FEATHER AND SKY by Sophia Wachtel, and I've enthusiastically accepted Sophia's offer to begin work on book two of the Project Phoenix series, DAUGHTER OF DARKNESS. I was also selected to join the narrator team at AudioMazes, and completed work on my first project THE BLOOD ROSE, which launches in October. You'll also be able to hear me in an episode of the upcoming premiere season of REDACTED from Hush Studios and Rusty Quill.
​
My very first VO gig I ever booked, Tales from the Janitor: Ohio also premiered this month. This project led to so many amazing people and opportunities and I'm just so very thankful I got to be part of it.
​
I've really enjoyed the VO Workout sessions I've been taking from Marc Cashman, as well as the Video Game Voice Acting and British Dialect workshops I took at The Sound Stage with Denise Hoey.
​I also loved dipping my toes into ADR with an Intro to ADR workshop with Very Berry Studios.
​
Last, but certainly not least, I had just the absolute best time at Rose City Comic Con! I got to co-moderate a panel with my friend Lee of The Porkchop Express, met some of my favorite authors at The Bookish Brunch presented by Grand Gesture Books, and we connected with some really creative and talented folks while handing out merch for Tales of the Ever After.

Hooray for summer! I had so much fun providing the pre-show announcement and preview trailer voiceover for this year's Dances With Films Independent Film Festival in Hollywood, CA. Watch the trailer below, and please be sure to also visit their website to check out some of this year's incredible films. I loved being back in the studio with Marc Rose to complete my character demo and will also have a role in the audio drama he is producing with Enserne Media this fall, FREQUENCY 43. I was also delighted to join the cast of TALES OF THE EVER AFTER, produced by my friend and fellow voice actor Tyler Boruff.

May has been another busy month! I'm currently working on my first audiobook, KINGDOM OF FEATHER AND SKY by Sophia Wachtel. I have a supporting role in Season 3 Episode 3 of YOUR HORROR SHOW which went live this week, and there are currently three episodes available of BEYOND AWAKENING Season 2 which I had the great pleasure of being a part of. I also completed work on NIGHTMARE SHIFT, a horror video game which releases July 15. I'm currently working on my character demo, which I'm looking forward to recording in June.
